Pilates is a set of exercises and rehabilitation movements designed to strengthen and re-align muscles. Its focus is core body stabilization (abdominal and back muscles) and independent motion of the limbs (arms and legs moving in their full range of motion without stress to the spine).
In more recent years Pilates has been the subject of peer review research articles and has gained acceptance amongst the medical profession, even for previously contra-indicated conditions.
In contrast to Pilates classes marketed to the masses, instruction at Chiro Kinetics is tailored to the needs of the individual. We have some of the most experienced instructors in northern California who provide a level of expertise difficult to replicate in other classes. We provide classes to help our patients build flexibility, stability and strength for a lifetime of activity with reduced pain.
